Introduction:
ShipTalk AES Messenger is a Windows-PC based application for communicating with
the US Customs department for exchanging files (Sending & Receiving). It provides a
facility for sending text files to the Customs and Border Protection using MQSeries client.
It also provides the complimentary facility for receiving databack from Customs, using
MQSeries client and storing those data in a text file.
The software drives VPN Client to send and receive files via IBM’s Websphere
MQSeries, therefore both items need to be installed as prerequisites.
Each file to be sent to Customs represents a completed unit of work. The file shouldbe a
normal text file with eachrecord on anew line in the file. WhenCustoms sends a
response, it will be storedin the destination folderspecifiedonthe settings screen.
In addition, to.NET 2.0, ShipTalk AES Messenger requires the following 3rd party software:

Prerequisites
ShipTalk AES Messenger software requires Microsoft .NET 2.0 redistributable package to be installed on the Windows basedmachine.In addition, to.NET 2.0, ShipTalk AES Messenger requires the following 3rd party software:
- IBM Websphere MQSeries Client
- Cisco VPN Client
